South Africa to ROCK the World!
Its the Global Battle of the Bands 2006, which brought together bands from around the country, keen to be the
chosen one to represent our country on a world stage (and a cool $100 000 to boot.)
The knock out rounds had been taking place at Emperor's Palace over the last couple of months and demanded awesome on stage presence, original songs and audience appeal.
Most of SA's already established bands have been this route. Wonderboom, notably took second place a couple of years ago in the final.
Some of the bands competing this year included: Bloodmoney, Suicide Kings, Same Old Story and Walt.
The final was staged to a full house and top-notch industry judges, who scored the bands performance and eventually made the big announcement:
